Well we had a couple of technical hitches.. waiting to board for San Francisco looking out of the window we noticed ( In a kind of reassuring way ) that the mechanic had the 'hood' up on the starboard engine of the plane. It turned out it had an oil leak ( thought that was motorbikes ..) any way the plane was dead. But no problem after 10 minutes its announced there's a spare plane at another gate.
We watched as the luggage was loaded onto the new plane.
Then the mechanic pooped over to check it out. 'Hood Up' on the engine again.... this one had a fuel problem.
'Don't worry we have plenty of planes' says the nice lady and true enough we moves gates again and another one rolls in. Bags go on again and we eventually board.
None of us remember the flight much as by now we'd got past the '24 hours since we got up' milestone and it was snooze time.
Arrived at SF 0100 local time and taxi to the Tuscan Inn Hotel
