Across the Desert

After a night spent in Palm Springs we headed out across the desert to reach Kingman - a journey of 250 miles in total but the roads were good and not very busy. In fact the most popular things going the other way seemed to be people towing boats - we saw dozens of speedboats being hauled along - apparently into the desert which we thought was strange.

(Also a snowplough went past - which was stranger still )

Later when we saw the Colarado river we figured out the boats - still pondering on the Snowplough..

First Palm Springs - Where they have only 5 non-sunshine days per year apparently ( We were lucky it was one of the other days so we got sun ;- )
