One new inner tube later and a tank of 'gas' (yes it's failry cheap here !) we set off heading south down the coast. It was to prove a fairly eventful ride..
First stop was the town of Carmel. This is just outside Monterey but we felt worth a quick visit. It really is a picturesque place. The houses and shops have a village feel and there are some really quirky dwellings...
After a majority vote we decided to leave seeing Mr Eastwoods restaurant and to head south. We'd been warned by the CHP officer we met that 'The One' ( the coast road ) was dangerous for accidents and bafter a few miles we saw a 'just happened' crash where two vehicles hit each other.
The scenery on the coast was spectacular and we rode for many miles with a fantastic seascape on our right.
The road was very twisting and sometimes uneven where cliff edge subsidence made ridges and potholes in the surface. For mile after mile though the views were amazing.
