We had left Las Vegas early ( well early-ish ) to get to Death Valley before the heat rose too much. It took a couple of hours before we entered the valley.
It's huge ..
Our first stop was Furnace Creek for a brief stop then we headed into the Valley.
It was hot but not unbearable.. the 'Air Temp' gauge on the bike was showing over 100.
Happily Alan's bike was behaving better.
After a hot journey we rose out of the valley and towards the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
We were pleased to see the Frontier Motel at Lone Pine - especially the swimming pool...
